My client had a concept for a ring that she wanted to wear on her middle finger.  I gave her three sketches and she chose #1.

The first step is to open the hole in a block of carving wax to the client’s finger size.

I start to carve the detail in the wax.

Opening up the negative spaces.

The finished wax ready for casting.

The wax has now been cast in 18K gold.
